Acceptance
By placing an order or using the Service, you accept these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, Delivery Policy, and Refund and Cancellation Policy.
1. Service description
TaraGrid ("we," "us," "the Service") provides a digital report of curated Sanskrit names matched to a child's birth details. From the supplied birth details we calculate both traditional readings — the nakshatra and the rashi (moon sign) — and both packs include both readings. The number of names in each list depends on the reviewed names available for your reading, and the exact count is shown before you purchase.
Family Naming Pack — ₹999, GST included. Both the Nakshatra and the Rashi naming views, the exact eligible-name results disclosed before purchase, meaning and source context for each name, and comparison and shortlist tools, plus one combined family PDF and individual shareable name cards for up to 5 names you select, delivered as a digital report.
Each name entry includes Devanagari script, Roman transliteration, English meaning sourced from verified Sanskrit dictionaries, Sanskrit root, and a verbatim shloka citation where one exists. Your report appears on your order page and is emailed as a PDF; signed download links are valid for 30 days from issuance, while your report page remains available.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase the Service. By placing an order, you confirm that the birth details you submit are accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that you are authorized to submit them on behalf of the child.
3. Birth data and privacy
To deliver the report, we collect the child's date of birth, time of birth, timezone, and place of birth (latitude and longitude via city picker), along with the purchaser's name, email address, and — optionally — phone number.
The birth details are used solely to compute the nakshatra and rashi readings and deliver the report. Our Privacy Policy describes this processing in full. Birth details, your contact details, and generated documents are retained up to 12 months and then deleted automatically by a scheduled, audited purge — and sooner on request (write to hello@taragrid.com from the email on your order). Order metadata required for tax and accounting compliance may be retained for the period required by Indian law.
We do not sell or license your birth data or personal information, and your child's birth details are never shared for advertising. Hashed (one-way, SHA-256) identifiers — your email, name, and phone number if provided — and device signals are shared with Meta and Google for conversion measurement and for ad delivery and optimization, as described in the Privacy Policy's "Ad measurement with hashed identifiers" section; the hashed match context we keep for this is deleted after 7 days. Razorpay processes your payment under its own terms; we do not store card or bank account details on our servers.
4. Payment
Payment is processed in Indian Rupees through Razorpay. The Service is offered as a one-time purchase of the ₹999 Family Naming Pack. There is no subscription, no auto-renewal, and no recurring charge. GST is included where applicable.
Where a promotional code is offered, it is applied at checkout before payment and the revised total is shown before you confirm the order.
5. Delivery
Reports typically appear on your order confirmation page within seconds of payment, with the same PDF emailed as a backup. If a technical failure delays delivery, we deliver by email as soon as possible — in all cases within 72 hours of payment confirmation. If we cannot deliver within 72 hours, you are entitled to a full refund under the Refund Policy.
6. Intellectual property
The curated name database, report templates, methodology, and accompanying content are the intellectual property of TaraGrid. Your purchased PDF is licensed to you for personal and family use, including printing, forwarding to family members, and reference for the purpose of naming your child. You may not redistribute the PDF, the curated content, or any derivative thereof as a commercial product, nor reproduce the database for any commercial purpose. The underlying Sanskrit names and classical citations are in the public domain; our curation, formatting, and matching methodology are not.
7. Limitation of liability
The Service provides curated Sanskrit name research aligned with the nakshatra-based naming tradition. We make no astrological predictions, horoscope readings, or claims regarding the child's character, fortune, health, relationships, or future. The selection of a name from the report is entirely your decision and the decision of your family. We are not liable for any consequence, direct or indirect, arising from the choice of any name in the report or from the use of the report itself. Our maximum liability in any case is limited to the amount paid for the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right, remedy, guarantee, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law, including consumer-protection rights.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Gurugram, Haryana.
