Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to prepare and deliver your TaraGrid report, keep it briefly, and never sell it.
Who we are
TaraGrid is operated by Sukriti Consultants, Gurugram, Haryana, India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we are the Data Fiduciary and you are the Data Principal.
What we collect
- Your child's birth details: date, time, timezone, and place of birth (from a city picker — no street address).
- Your name and email address, and your phone number if you choose to give one (it's optional).
- Payment details: a payment confirmation ID and amount — we never store card or bank-account numbers.
- Order details: the tier, your name preferences, and the reading you're viewing.
- Any feedback you choose to send, and — for the Family Naming Pack — the names you pick for cards.
We don't collect your government ID, home address, religion, caste, community, or any health information.
How we use it
We process your personal data only for the purposes described in this notice and on a lawful basis available under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us; withdrawal does not affect processing already completed, and we may keep records the law requires. We use your data to calculate your child's nakshatra and rashi, match reviewed Sanskrit names, deliver your report (and cards, for the Family Naming Pack), answer your requests, and meet tax and accounting rules. We also use it to understand how the Service is used and to improve and market TaraGrid — including showing and measuring TaraGrid ads on other platforms. We process your data for these purposes and as otherwise described in this notice.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it with service providers and partners who help us run and grow TaraGrid — including payment processing (Razorpay), cloud hosting, storage and email delivery, and analytics and advertising partners such as Google and Meta — and they may process it only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires, to protect our rights, or as part of a business transfer.
We may email you about your order — your report, and, for the Family Naming Pack, your cards — and occasionally about TaraGrid products, news, and offers. Every marketing email carries a one-click unsubscribe that takes effect immediately, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
Analytics and usage information
To run, secure, and improve TaraGrid, we collect information about how the Service is used — for example which pages and features are visited and whether orders, payments, and deliveries succeed — on our own systems and through third-party analytics services. We use this information for reliability, security and fraud prevention, measurement, and product improvement. This usage analytics does not include your name, email, phone number, or your child's birth details — ad-platform matching, described next, works differently and uses hashed identifiers.
Ad measurement with hashed identifiers
To measure which ads lead to orders and to improve how TaraGrid's ads are delivered and optimized, we share a hashed (one-way, SHA-256) version of your email address, name, and phone number (if you gave one) with Meta and Google, together with device signals such as your IP address, browser type, and the ad-click identifiers their own tools set. Hashing is one-way: we never send your readable email, name, or phone number, and your child's birth details are never shared for advertising. The hashed match context we keep on our own servers for this purpose is deleted automatically after 7 days. Meta and Google process this data under their own policies — see Meta's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your child's birth details, the generated documents, and your name and email for up to 12 months, then delete them automatically. After that, your report page still shows the name readings, but the birth details and downloadable files are gone. Tax and payment records are kept for 7 years, as Indian law requires. Want your data deleted sooner? Email hello@taragrid.com from your order address and we'll remove it, normally within 7 days — except records the law requires us to keep.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can access, correct, or erase your data, withdraw consent, nominate someone to act for you, and complain to the Data Protection Board of India. Email hello@taragrid.com with your order ID and we'll respond within 7 working days.

Security and cookies
Your data is encrypted in transit and stored in private storage reachable only through short-lived signed links, with no client-side database access. We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, analyze how the Service is used, and show and measure advertising for TaraGrid — including on other websites and apps, such as Google and Meta platforms. You can manage or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, though parts of the site — including your report page — may not work correctly without them.
Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure in the Asia region; by placing an order you consent to processing there. If a data breach ever affects you, we'll notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires.
Children
TaraGrid is bought by a parent or guardian for a child. By ordering, you confirm you're the parent or lawful guardian giving consent. We don't advertise to children or knowingly collect data directly from a minor; if you think a minor submitted data without consent, email hello@taragrid.com and we'll delete it.
