Refund and Cancellation Policy

Effective: 21 August 2026 Last updated: 21 August 2026

TaraGrid reports are personalised and delivered digitally, so purchases are normally final once delivery begins. We provide corrections, reissues or refunds only in the limited cases below.

Cancellation

TaraGrid reports are personalised digital products, and preparation begins as soon as your payment is captured. You may request cancellation before payment is captured or before report generation begins, whichever is first. Once generation has begun, an order cannot ordinarily be cancelled, but it may still qualify for a refund, correction, or re-delivery under the conditions below, or under rights that cannot be excluded by law. To request cancellation, email hello@taragrid.com with your order ID and the email address on your order. If a payment was authorised but your order was not confirmed, do not pay again — contact us so we can verify the payment status.

When we refund

Duplicate payment

If the same order is charged more than once, we refund the duplicate amount.

Payment charged but order not confirmed

If money was debited but your order was not confirmed, do not retry the payment. Contact us with the payment reference and we will reconcile against Razorpay and either complete delivery or refund you. Time taken by your bank or the payment network to post a refund after we initiate it is outside our control.

Non-delivery

If the core paid report cannot be delivered within 72 hours of confirmed payment, you may choose continued fulfilment or a full refund of the amount paid.

Corrupted or inaccessible report

If a paid report or file is corrupted, unreadable or inaccessible, we first replace or restore it. If we cannot provide a usable replacement, we refund the amount paid for the affected product.

Missing paid feature

If a feature listed for your pack is missing because of a TaraGrid system error, we restore or reissue it. If only the Family Naming Pack additions cannot be supplied and the core report remains usable, the refund is limited to the net amount attributable to those additions, up to ₹-100 and never more than the amount you actually paid; if the core report cannot be supplied, we refund the full amount paid.

Cases that are normally not refundable

  • Change of mind after purchase.
  • Subjective dislike of the available names.
  • Disagreement between parents, grandparents or other family members.
  • An expected or preferred name not appearing.
  • A different result from a family astrologer or pandit using another established convention, where TaraGrid correctly applied its disclosed method.
  • A smaller exact starting-sound name pool when the actual count was disclosed before payment.
  • Incorrect birth date, time or location submitted by the customer.

Correcting birth details you supplied

If the date, time or place you submitted was wrong, contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery and we will regenerate the report once at no charge using the corrected details. This is a correction service and does not create a refund entitlement. Start with just your order ID and a short description of the problem — please do not include the baby's full birth details in your first email.

Promo and discounted orders

Refunds never exceed the amount actually collected. If a promo code reduced your total, any eligible refund is limited to the net amount you actually paid.

How to report a problem

Email hello@taragrid.com with your order ID and a short description of the issue. Contact us within seven calendar days of delivery so we can investigate promptly; a delay does not remove any right that cannot lawfully be limited, but it may affect our ability to reproduce a transient delivery issue. TaraGrid acknowledges complaints within 48 hours; approved refunds are initiated to the original payment method within 7 business days, though your bank may take longer to credit the amount.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy excludes remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.
